Doctor of Pharmacy Program Receives Candidate Accreditation Status

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Pharmacy has received Candidate accreditation status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) for its Doctor of Pharmacy program.

The granting of Candidate status denotes a developmental program that is expected to mature in accord with stated plans and within a defined time period. Reasonable assurances are expected to be provided that the program may become accredited as programmatic experiences are gained, generally by the time the first class has graduated. Graduates of a class designated as having Candidate status have the same rights and privileges as graduates of an accredited program.

Created in 2012, FDU’s School of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school associated with a private university in the state of New Jersey. Located in the heart of the U.S.-pharmaceutical industry, the School of Pharmacy has a variety of dynamic classroom, lab, and experiential learning opportunities to meet the learning styles of today’s students and to prepare them for exciting and successful careers in the 21st century.  The school offers a doctor of pharmacy degree and several master’s degree options.
