We Need Your Ideas!
Have you ever wanted to be a part of something extraordinary? Well, here’s your chance. We have an idea for an alumni gathering that we think is really good, but we need your help to make it amazing. We’re calling the event The Night of a 1,000 Alumni, and yes, we’re trying to gather 1,000 FDU alumni in one place for one night of activities.
Planning Meeting: Fairleigh Dickinson University's Night of 1,000 Alumni
This is what we know: we know that time is precious and we know that historically the University has had a low turn-out for most of its reunion activities, particularly the traditional week-end reunion. We also know that thousands of FDU alumni care very deeply for their alma mater, want to see the university continue to flourish, and want to remain connected to the University which gave so much to them. So here’s the big idea: take all the elements of a great two day alumni reunion weekend and turn them into an exciting two hour event. Will there be music? Yes. Will there be awards? Yes. Will there be inspirational speakers? Yes. Will there be great food? Yes. Will there be more? Yes! Yes! Yes!
We also know that we can’t do this alone and that is why I am writing you today for an event that will take place in May or June 2014.
Please consider joining The Night of 1,000 Alumni Planning Committee at its initial meeting:
Thursday, September 19, 2013
Lenfell Hall, Hennessy Hall
FDU College at Florham
285 Madison Ave., Madison, New Jersey
Informal meet-and-greet: 6 p.m.
Meeting: 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
We are looking for alumni with boundless energy, enthusiasm and ideas. We’re looking for alumni like you to turn a good idea into something spectacular.
If you can’t make the first meeting but still want to be part of the excitement, let us know and we’ll be sure to include you as the planning progresses.
Please note that FDU’s Night of 1,000 Alumni is for alumni from all campuses. Although our first meeting is being held at the College at Florham, our next meeting will be held at the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck.
We look forward to seeing you on September 19 and hearing all of your great ideas!
