he U.N. Pathways Ambassador Forums are sponsored by FDU’s Office of Global Learning and are presented in conjunction with The Ambassador’s Club at the United Nations. They are preceded by a half-hour refreshment/reception period. The forums feature discussions between Amb. Ahmad Kamal of The Ambassador’s Club and invited guests.

Recent U.N. Pathways Events


On September 24, the Office of Global Learning’s United Nations NGO Pathways Program, in partnership with the United Nations Association-USA Chapter of Northern New Jersey, hosted a discussion on “Women and Children: Victims of War — Agents of Peace?” Guest speakers were Pablo Castillo-Díaz, policy specialist for protection and security, United Nations Women; David Rosen, anthropology, and author, Armies of the Young: Child Soldiers in War and Terrorism; and FDU students from countries currently in conflict.

“Rebuilding Iraq: Envisioning Iraq’s Future” featuring Amb. Hamid Al Bayati, permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations, was held on
October 23 at the College at Florham.
