The Monninger Center for Learning and Research
The Monninger Center for Learning and Research will create a new hub for campus life at the College at Florham. It will house casual study space that has long been desired, the kind of space where informal and structured learning comes alive. New technology, flexible design, new resources and collections, will not only offer the opportunity for individual and group study and research, but will allow for larger lectures and events. In addition, the Monninger Center will include space where students and faculty can collaborate for projects, presentations and casual conversation. The Monninger Center will provide a new home for the University’s most important collections, archives, books, journals and papers.
Library View
Through its leading edge technology, the Monninger Center will bring the world to FDU’s students. Flexible space will adapt to technology. New computer laboratories will foster hands-on library instruction and learning. A new auditorium and gallery will attract students and guests to the University for special events. And a new media center will ensure that Fairleigh Dickinson University will always provide the most advanced tools for learning in our technologically driven world.
The Monninger Center for Learning and Research will be an intellectual magnet, attracting people from all backgrounds and passions with a desire to learn, collaborate and create. It will provide students and faculty with the resources and tools necessary for conducting scholarly research while extending the boundaries of the classroom to a new interactive environment with increased opportunities for formal and informal learning.
