The vitality of any college or university is often defined and measured by the strength of its annual giving program, both in terms of financial commitments and the rate of participation. An annual gift is truly a vote of confidence in Fairleigh Dickinson University and its mission. FDU NOW seeks to catalyze a powerful annual giving program that will sustain FDU’s momentum into the future.
The Fund for FDU provides support for virtually every area of activity at the University including salaries, scholarships, ongoing programs and promising new initiatives that make an FDU education exceptional. This support will not only propel the campaign to a successful conclusion, they will create a solid basis for the future of FDU philanthropy. It is imperative that Fairleigh Dickinson continually strive to increase annual contributions as it concurrently works to build its endowment, establishing a reliable source of unrestricted support to fulfill its ongoing operating needs.
Matching Gifts
Over 1,000 corporations and businesses in the United States recognize the need and provide support for higher education through individual matching gift programs.
Gifts are often matched at a dollar-for-dollar rate; however, some companies offer programs which match at double, and even triple, the rate of the employee contribution. Directors, retirees and spouses of employees may also be eligible for a match.
