James Sapirstein, MBA'98, was named CEO of Alliqua, Inc.

John Brubaker, MA'93, was selected from a nationwide search to be featured in Leadership: Helping Others to Succeed, a book series from Insight Publishing. The recently published book features former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell, Dr. Warren Bennis and former U.S. Congresswoman Pat Schroeder. They are joined by other well-known authors, each offering strategies for success.



School social worker Cindy Miller, LCSW, BA'90, has co-authored The Essential Guide to Bullying: Prevention and Intervention with Cynthia Lowen, co-filmmaker of the documentary Bully. Miller said, "We wrote this book with the conviction that our schools and communities can be transformed into places where all kids can feel safe and supported; where school staff, parents and young people, in addition to mental health professionals, pediatricians and everyone who cares about today's youth can be provided with the tools to recognize, prevent, and intervene in bullying situations. When community members become empowered to stand up for those who are targeted, as well as to help transform those who act out aggressively against others, everyone wins; lives can be changed, and even saved."

, was named a finalist in the 2012 NJBiZ CFO of the Year Awards. The awards program celebrates New Jersey's financial executives at all levels who contribute to the success of New Jersey's economic growth and stability.

Deloitte has enhanced its regulatory and risk strategies service offering to the life sciences industry with the addition of William (Bill) Greenrose, MBA'90, who joins the practice as a director with Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Joe DePinto, BS'89, MBA'97, has joined Dendreon Corporation as executive vice president, global commercial operations. He is responsible for all sales, marketing, and market access teams in the U.S. and globally.

The work of Serena Bocchino, BA'82, is included in the Giving Voice Exhibition at Gallery 14 in Morristown, New Jersey, which runs through March 1, 2013.

FairPoint Communications has appointed Tony Tomae, BS'82, executive vice president and Chief Revenue Officer, effective April 23, 2012.  He will be responsible for all aspects of FairPoint's sales, marketing and product development functions.

"Chip" Meyer, BS'81, has joined Beacon Trust, a subsidiary of The Provident Bank, as vice president and wealth advisor. Meyer, who has more than 25 years of financial industry experience, is responsible for business development and will work directly with clients in the areas of asset allocation, retirement planning, and trust and estate planning. 

EastPay has hired Debra Arai, BS'80, as director of risk management services.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has announced that Richard Udine, BS'77, has been named to Barron's annual list of America's Top 1000 Advisers.

Rosemary Ruggiero Español, BA’70
, a nationally respected leader in the field of interior design and facilities management, has been elected to the FDU Board of Trustees for a three-year term. Español is president of IEI Group, a Philadelphia-based firm that provides design, architectural and project-management services to corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, health care, retail and residential clients. Founded by Español in 1991, IEI has been ranked regularly for the past 15 years among the top 200 U.S. design firms by Interior Design magazine.

, was included in New Jersey Monthly's July 2012 listing of the state's 364 Top Dentists "as chosen by their peers."

Alfred M. Pruskowski, BS'70
, has been recognized with the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. He works  for accounting firm Rosen Seymour Shapss Martin & Company as partner-in-charge of forensic and valuation services and has 38 years in the public accounting profession specializing in forensic accounting, business valuations and management advisory services.
